The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre says there were 1,039 Covid-19 cases reported from Thursday to Saturday last week.
Meanwhile, the “Special webpage against epidemics” operated by the health authorities appears to no longer show cumulative infection or fatality totals, but instead a daily figure.
According to Macau Post Daily, 6 cases were hospitalised during the three-day period, bringing to 113 the number of Covid patients admitted to treatment facilities between May 1 and May 27.

Macao is grappling with a new wave of Covid-19 infections. Modelling by researchers at the Macau University of Science and Technology projects that as many as 6,000 people a day could be getting infected this month.
New mask-wearing, vaccination and reporting guidelines have been drawn up to combat the surge.
Last week, the Social Welfare Bureau said that anyone who visits a senior care facility, rehabilitation centre or drug rehabilitation facility must, from now on, wear an N95, KN95 or FFP2 respirator mask.
