The Macao News has launched the ‘This Is Our Shot’ public awareness campaign to rally the community, addressing their fears and concerns, and encouraging them to take advantage of the government’s free and easily accessible vaccination program.
A number of celebrated leaders in the city took part in this campaign including Kevin Ho, President of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau; Agnes Lam, Associate Professor at the University of Macau; Joe Liu, Director of Macau Pass; Carlos Cid Alvares, CEO of BNU; Joe Chan, Chairman of Macau Green Student Union, and a host of more than 30 personalities.
“I am privileged to be part of the campaign and I hope this will boost people’s confidence and responsibility to get vaccinated,” said Kevin Ho.
Joe Liu echoed Ho’s thoughts. “I am thrilled to be part of the campaign. This is the first type of personal campaign seen in Macao and I hope it will act as a good encouragement to the public”. Professor Agnes Lam added: “It’s great to be part of the global citizen mission here!”
The Macao News and MOME are joining together to promote this public awareness campaign across their online and offline platforms which include social media and MOME’s impressive array of city-wide media platforms on buses, taxis, supermarkets and pharmacies and commercial buildings where the campaign will run for 30 days.
