The Macao International Parade is returning this year, and the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is calling for local performers.

The official theme this year is “Love, Peace and Cultural Integration.”

The one-day event will take place on 24 March. The parade last took place in 2019, when it drew some 1,800 participants and large crowds of spectators. It was suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Local performing associations, schools, institutes and organisations have between today and 4 February to register as participants with the IC.

A series of outreach programs will also be held, as well as a “Street Art Group” and Community Art Program. The IC will offer a range of different prizes to participants.

The Macao International Parade will start at the Ruins of St Paul’s and finish at Praça do Lago Sai Van.
