The 2024 100 Top Tables list, published by the South China Morning Post, is now out and while the same number of Macao restaurants made the grade as last year, there’s been a slight reshuffling.

Of the 25 Macao eateries to make the list in 2023, 23 remain. Wynn Resorts’ Lakeview Palace (on the list last year by its former name Wing Lei Palace) is no longer on the list, while Sichuan Moon has since closed, so is no longer represented. But the new restaurant to take over its premises – Chef Tam’s Seasons – has earned itself a 100 Top Tables slot.

Diva, the Chinese restaurant at W Macau Studio City, also joined the ranks. The restaurant bills itself as “an immersive contemporary Cantonese experience” inspired by Chinese movie stars of a bygone era.

The 12th edition of the 100 Top Tables list was published on Monday and, despite its name, includes 135 venues. Most are restaurants in Hong Kong but there are a number of bars.

At the unveiling ceremony, the chief operating officer at the Post, Kevin Huang, told attendees that 100 Top Tables was the ultimate culinary guide to Hong Kong and Macao “for all those with an appreciation for fine dining.”

He said: “We are thrilled to continue giving a much-needed voice and platform to talented chefs.”
