All typhoon signals were lowered at 5:00 pm as Typhoon Koinu continued to move further away from Macao.
At 4:00 pm, the storm was 150 kilometres southwest of the territory. Strong winds and rain continued to affect Macao today however, with the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) issuing earlier flood warnings.
Public transport and ferry services have resumed and cross-sea bridges reopened, but fireworks that were due to take place tonight as part of the 31st Macao International Fireworks Display Contest have been cancelled.
As of 9:00 am, the Civil Protection Operations Centre had recorded nine incident reports. These included lampposts and trees either on the verge of collapse or collapsed, fallen or swinging objects, and damaged construction sites.

Two people were injured in the storm, according to the Health Bureau and Kiang Wu Hospital. Thirteen people have made use of emergency shelters set up by authorities.
Most flights out of Macao’s airport have either been rescheduled or cancelled, according to the airport’s website, but flights are gradually resuming and travellers are asked to check with their respective airlines.
