The President of the Legislative Assembly Ho Iat Seng said to Macau TV (TDM) he hopes to retire after finishing the four-year term.
He also says the most important task in the remaining three years as president is to enact the budget framework law.
He says the government may bypass the legislature for public works of budget lower than 15 billion patacas, and allocate money for the works.
Ho Iat Seng also says the numerous foundations is another big problem in Macau, but the legislature can only check the executive expenses of these foundations.
Ho hopes the new budget law will mention the money the government allocates to these foundations into the public budget, so that the Legislative Assembly may supervise these foundations.(macaunews/tdm)
