The Transport Bureau (DSAT) announced in a statement on Wednesday that from Thursday onward a part of Avenida da Praia Grande near S. Francisco Garden is closed for roadworks, but only in the direction for Avenida de D. João IV.
During the roadworks, vehicles cannot enter Rua do Campo from Avenida da Praia Grande but must make a detour via Avenida de D. João IV, the statement noted.
Considering Tuesday’s announcement by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) regarding the date non-tertiary schools may resume- no later than April 20, the Transport Bureau aims to complete the roadworks before the end of April, the statement underlined.
Due to the roadworks, bus services of routes 9 and 9A for the Barrier Gate will not stop in Avenida de Lisboa. Passengers are advised to use the bus stop in Avenida de D. João IV instead, the statement noted.
