Another Covid-19 case has been confirmed as a 43-year-old local woman tested positive early this morning.
Zhuhai authorities informed their Macao counterparts that the woman crossed paths with a confirmed case in Zhuhai on 25 October at the Gongbei Underground Mall, the Novel Coronavirus Response Coordination Centre has announced.
She tested negative during her NATs on 24 and 26 October, until finally testing positive early this morning. She has already been transferred to the Public Health Clinical Center of Alto de Coloane for medical treatment.
The woman’s residential building Rua da Saúde, Edifício Lai Va San Chun (Bloco 1) in Areia Preta has since been locked down.
The local woman works as a casino dealer at MGM Cotai and went to work on the 26, 27 and 28 October. The Centre has announced that a series of Covid-19 prevention measures will be implemented in high-risk areas and more details will be announced later.
