The 22nd edition of the SJM Macao Open will take place between 16-19 October at the Macau Golf and Country Club in Hac Sa, organisers announced at a press conference yesterday at Grand Lisboa Palace in Cotai.
The four-day tournament, co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Macau Golf Association, will offer a total prize purse of US$1 million (8.045 million patacas). SJM Resorts has served as title sponsor since 2023 and announced it will continue sponsoring the event for two additional years.

Several high-profile golfers have confirmed their participation, including Liang Wenchong, the first Chinese player to claim the Asian Tour Order of Merit, and Macao’s own Kelvin Si Ngai. The field also features former world number one Lee Westwood, who previously won the tournament in 1999, South Korean PGA Tour player Sungjae Im, and defending champion Rattanon Wannasrichan from Thailand.
Speaking at the announcement, Sports Bureau Acting Vice President See Lei highlighted the tournament’s significance since its 1998 launch, describing it as “a hallmark championship on the Asian Tour” that demonstrates “Macao’s capability to host major international sporting events.”
SJM Managing Director Daisy Ho Chiu Fung, appearing via video link, emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting golf development in Macao through the extended partnership.
