The kitchen brigade at The Manor at The St. Regis Macao on Cotai have been celebrating after winning two prestigious awards – Best Western Restaurant in China Feast Award and Platinum Award in Trip.com Gourmet Top Global Restaurant List.

The Manor is helmed by Chef Michele Dell’Aquila, who hails from Bari on Italy’s Adriatic coast, and his signature dishes – Glacier 51 Toothfish with black ink, toasted Chouriço migas, and Champagne emulsion and aged Miyazaki Wagyu beef striploin served with potato mille-feuille, matsutake mushroom and black truffle – have won legions of fans.

Chef Michele emphasises using sustainably sourced ingredients from all over the world, and featuring grill-inspired dishes accented with local flavours.

“My team and I are honoured to receive these two prestigious awards. This is a testament to our tenacity towards perfection. We will continue to evolve by introducing new menus, testing new ingredients and implementing new processes to elevate our guests’ dining experience,” said Chef Michele to The Macao News.

China Feast Award was launched by Restaurant Review, a publication covering the food and beverage industry which also reviews chefs and restaurants. Entering its 7th year, this award recognises the best restaurants in Greater China.

The awards ceremony held in Shanghai was attended by food connoisseurs, industry professionals and culinary pioneers.

Back in Macao, The Manor won the Platinum award in Trip.com Gourmet Top Global Restaurant List at an awards ceremony at The Londoner Macao last week. The event was jointly organised by Sands China and Trip.com with the support of the Macao Government Tourism Office.

Trip.com Group Gourmet Top Global Restaurant List was introduced in 2016 to provide Chinese travellers with international food and restaurant recommendations as well as a convenient online booking platform. This year, some 6,200 restaurants in 58 cities in China were awarded.
