A new public library in the Community Complex in Coloane’s sprawling Seac Pai Van public housing estate opened on Tuesday.

The Macao Government Tourism Office’s sub-director Cecilia Tse Heng Sai will replace Leung Hio Ming as president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao.
The seven bronze statues on the façade of the Ruins of St. Paul’s built in the 17th century will start to be restored this year and will finish in 2018. The restoration of two of the statues will be carried out first during this year and the next five in 2018.
Alexis Tam said that the government pays great importance to the protection of the city’s cultural heritage. “Not only do we educate our society for the importance of cultural heritage, but for environmental protection as well.”
