The Judiciary Police (PJ) took about 120 teens from its “Community Safety Youth Leader Programme” and “Youth Fight Crime Programme” to the “Loving the Country, Loving Macao Education Base for Young People” on Saturday, according to a PJ statement.

According to Saturday’s statement, in order to deepen teens’ understanding of Chinese history and culture, Macao’s development and achievements, the police decided to take youngsters from the two programmes to visit the patriotic education base at the Macao Handover Gifts Museum in NAPE.

The Judiciary Police said in a statement that it had been placing a lot of emphasis on youth crime prevention education work, adding that they started the “Community Safety Youth Leader Programme” and “Youth Fight Crime Programme” in 2013 and 2018 respectively. The two programmes have attracted over 1,400 youths over the years to take part, the statement underlined.

According to the statement, the programmes aim to assist young adults in acquiring “positive morals and morale”, with the hope that they will contribute to the city’s development in the future.
