Postal, touristic and cultural services have all been affected by the pandemic and have had to adjust their operations accordingly.

The Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) will continue to provide general mail delivery services. Only one notice will be sent for registered mail and the addressee may pick up the mail up at the branch indicated.

The Express Mail Service will be maintained, and the recipient will not be required to sign the receipt. The result of the delivery will be registered by the postal distributor.

A document collection box has been placed at the CTT headquarters’ (General Post Office) reception in Largo do Senado, where urgent items can be submitted through Friday by 5:30 p.m.

The GPO in Largo do Senado is open through Friday from 12 noon to 5 pm, and from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday

Service points and their operating hours can be viewed on this link, while other post offices, philatelic shops and the Communications Museum are temporarily closed.

Further information can be viewed by visiting www.ctt.gov.mo, emailing [email protected], or calling 8396 8519 (Public Relations), 8396 8899 (Telecommunications-Information), CTT’s Postal Savings Bank on 8396 8304 (Loans) and 8396 8319 (Deposits/Money Transfer) during office hours.

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) noted that during office hours, members of the public must book an appointment in advance prior to visiting MGTO on the 18th floor of the Hotline Building for licence formalities and supervision-related matters, and arrive as scheduled.

The reception counter on the 12th floor of the building will also offer limited services, while submissions may be placed inside a document collection box. Anyone entering must wear a facemask, undergo temperature checks, scan the Venue QR code and present a valid green “Macao Health Code”.

Online service platforms are operating as normal, with the MGTO urging the public to use it for services such as for the submission of travel agencies’ quarterly reports and licence renewals for travel agencies.

The MGTO’s Tourist Information counters and the Stay Dine and See Macao local tours remain suspended, while the Macao Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz Building in Largo do Senado remain closed. The Tourism Hotline maintains its 24-hour operator service for tourism-related enquiries.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said it will offer limited services and phone enquiry services through Friday.

The bureau noted that the deadline is extended for the bureau’s various ongoing procurement and bidding procedures. The Cultural Affairs Bureau building in Praça do Tap Seac remains closed and enquiries can be made by calling the dedicated hotline at 8399 6699, where appointments can also be made in advance for urgent matters. The public are urged to postpone taking care of affairs concerning the bureau as much as possible, while also avoiding in-person formalities.

The hotline is available from Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:45 pm., and on Friday from 9 am to 1 pm and 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.

To reduce any impact on the bidding period, the bureau pointed out that the bidding deadline for various purchases and tenders currently conducted by the bureau will be extended, with the bidding deadline for the adjustments to be announced separately.

Other IC services remain suspended while all of its venues are closed, while artistic and cultural activities are also suspended, The Macau Post Daily reported
