The Chinese State Council announced on Sunday the appointment of the five secretaries of the government of the new Chief Executive of Macau, Ho Iat Seng.
According to the Macau Government Information Bureau, the State Council also appointed the other five top officials of the Macau Government.
Only two of the five secretaries of the previous government will continue in the Government of Ho Iat Seng: Wong Sio Chak as Secretary for Security and Raimundo Arrais do Rosario as Secretary for Transport and Public Works.
The news secretaries are Cheong Weng Chon as Secretary for the Administration and Justice, Lei Wai Nong as Secretary for the Economy and Finance and Ao Ieong U as secretary for Social Affairs and Culture.
The announcement also said that Ho Veng On will continue as Commissioner for Audit, Chan Tsz King will serve as Commissioner Against Corruption, Leong Man Cheong will serve as the Commissioner-General of the Unitary Police Service, Vong Man Chong will be the Director-General of the Macao Custom Service and Ip Son Sang will continue to be the Macau Public Prosecutor-General.
The new government under Ho Iat Seng is the fifth government since 20 December 1999 when Macau administration reverted back to China.
Ho Iat Seng will be the third Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, after Ho Hau Wah and Chui Sai On each one with two terms in office.
