Chief Executive to pay duty visit to Beijing

Chief Executive Chui Sai On will pay his annual duty visit to Beijing from Saturday to next Tuesday, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) said in a statement Monday.

Chief Executive Chui Sai On will pay his annual duty visit to Beijing from Saturday to next Tuesday, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) said in a statement Monday.

According to the statement, Chui will submit his 2018 work report to central government leaders during his four-day stay in the capital and also brief them on the government’s policy guidelines for next year.

Chui’s entourage will include his chief-of-cabinet O Lam, GCS Director Victor Chan Chi Ping and the head of the government’s Protocol, Public Relations and External Affairs Office, Lei Iut Mui.

During Chui’s absence, Secretary for Administration and Justice Sonia Chan Hoi Fan will be acting chief executive.

Meanwhile, according to a separate GCS statement, Chui will pay a working visit to Jiangsu province this week. The two-day visit will begin tomorrow.

Chui will visit the site of the future Jiangsu-Macau Cooperation Park in Changzhou city.

According to the statement, Chui will also meet the province’s leadership to discuss bilateral cooperation projects and the overall planning of the park.
