SJM recently donated “Intelligent Body Temperature Screening Systems” to Stanley Ho East Asia College and to Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College at University of Macau (UM), the gaming operator said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement said that the donation was to welcome the new academic year at UM, which began on 7 September.
According to the statement, the temperature screening systems measure the temperatures of people entering the two residential colleges and provide an instant alert of abnormal temperature.
The two colleges expressed their gratitude to SJM for the donation of the systems, which help monitor the health conditions of their students, staff and visitors in a more stringent and efficient way.
SJM Chairman of the Board of Directors Daisy Ho Chiu Fung said that the company stands firmly with the government and the Macau community in overcoming the pandemic.
“In support of the university’s preventive work against the virus, we are glad to be able to lend a helping hand to the two residential colleges in protecting the health and safety of their residents and visitors,” Ho said.
