After two days of continuous heavy rainfall and the city’s first typhoon 8 since the summer, Tropical Cyclone Lionrock has been lowered to a T1.
As of 2 pm, a thunderstorm warning signal and a red rainstorm warning signal, the second highest rainstorm warning of the three-level system (yellow, red and black) had been issued by the Macao Weather Bureau. Many low-lying areas in the Inner Harbour Area have already experienced flooding.
Typhoon “Lionrock” is currently located about 660 km west-southwest of Macao and continues to move away from the city.
