Police found a female corpse floating in the coastal waters near a casino on Avenida Dr Sun Yat-Sen in Nape yesterday morning.

Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said that the cadaver was pulled ashore by Customs Service officers. She was later identified as a 58-year-old local woman surnamed Fu.

The Public Security Police (PSP) received a report from a local man last Sunday that his ex-wife had disappeared after leaving home at 3:30 pm that day. After scrutinising the city’s traffic enforcement cameras, PSP officers found the victim showing up alone near the Zone A land reclamation area on Monday morning. However, a search in the area failed to find her.

After a preliminary examination, no suspicious or criminally induced injuries were found on the corpse.

In related news, the PJ also announced two dead-body-found cases, one on Tuesday night and the other yesterday. Both bodies were discovered on Tuesday.

Officers said that a local man in his sixties, who was found lying on the floor of his bedroom earlier that day by firefighters, had been certified dead.

The victim, surnamed Kuan, lived alone in a residential flat on Travessa dos Estaleiros.

Kuan’s wife reported to the police at 8:19 pm on Tuesday that when she visited him that day, she found his flat’s metal gate locked. Firefighters broke open the gate to enter the flat where they found Kuan lying on the floor of his bedroom.

In the second case, the PJ were notified by the Fire Services Bureau at 10:38 pm yesterday that a 71-year-old local man, who was found lying on the bed in his bedroom, had been dead for a long time.

The victim, surnamed Choi, lived alone in a flat on Estrada Marginal do Hipódromo.

A resident of the building reported to the police on Tuesday morning that a foul smell was emanating from the flat. As the metal entrance gate was locked, firefighters climbed into the flat through the bedroom window, where Choi was then certified dead.

Upon examination of the two bodies, no suspicious injuries were found, the PJ noted.

The exact cause of the two deaths still needs to be determined by forensic examination, The Macau Post Daily reported.
