The 43rd Macao Green Week will be held at various locations across the city from 16 to 24 March, according to an announcement from the event’s organiser, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (also known by its Portuguese acronym IAM).

Organised under the theme of “passing on the love of nature to build a beautiful city together,” the nine-day series of events is aimed at promoting the public’s awareness of sustainability, ecological conservation, and protection of the SAR’s flora and fauna.

To this end, Green Week will feature 30 activities, including guided eco-tours, tree-planting activities and workshops.

IAM says that the event will launch at Avenida da Praia in Taipa on 16 March at 3.00 pm with games, workshops, tour, plant distribution and booths providing residents with information about conservation.

Other ecological-themed activities will take place during the days following, at the Seac Pai Van wetlands, Taipa’s Flower City Park and other locations.

Residents who wish to register for the events can do so via the Macao One app or by signing up in person at the government’s public service centres. More information about the event and activities can be found on the IAM website.
