The government has launched a new webpage to help people make the most of the upcoming Golden Week holiday – and its aftermath. It’s available in Chinese, Portuguese, and English.

The Macao Lunar New Year Celebrations 2024 page lets you navigate events happening between today and 24 February by date or name.

It includes all the official festivities – the Parade of the Gigantic Golden Dragon, lion dances and fireworks displays – as well as an array of markets, workshops, performances and exhibitions and more.

Some of the more offbeat options range from cultural performances showcasing Shandong and Qinghai folklore, to workshops in festive floral arrangements and the making of watercolour postcards.

New Year events hosted by the concessionaires are also listed, including MGM’s Barra Spring Fest (featuring local musicians, a flower market and a cocktail-making workshop) and Sands China’s Spring Festival in Full Bloom in Old Taipa Village.

“Macao is packed with a whirlwind of auspicious festivities,” the webpage noted.
