A local woman flew into a tantrum demanding to see the Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng after she was stopped by police on Monday for not wearing a mask.

The woman, who is in her 50s and has not been named, was intercepted by two police officers in Rua do Lu Cao in San Kio District at 2:40 pm, the Public Security Police (PSP) said.

Based on the Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases and due to the government’s special Covid-19 prevention and control measures this week, people are supposed to stay at home most of the time and all adults must wear KN95 facemasks or those of a higher standard when out and about.

The woman was arrested on the spot and has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office, facing charges of breaching the Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, The Macau Post Daily reported.
