The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that the cases include 36 women and 13 men, ranging in age from 8 months to 89 years. Fifteen people with symptoms are confirmed cases; 34 are temporarily asymptomatic and classified as asymptomatic patients.

The mass testing exercise was successfully completed at noon today. Concerns that the entire city might be locked down were set aside by officials today, however the government has called on non-essential businesses to close temporarily, and restaurants are only permitted to serve takeaway meals.

Government departments and services are to remain closed until Friday. Educational institutions have also closed with no re-opening date announced yet.

Health workers have followed up 2,142 people for epidemiological investigations.

Close contacts are being sent for medical observation to the Pousada Marina Infante or Sheraton Grand Macao.

The government has urged citizens to conduct their own rapid antigen tests (RAT) tomorrow.

The makeshift hospital at the East Asian Games Dome in Cotai will be ready by tomorrow although officials have yet to decide how it will be employed.

Following the discovery that five staff members had tested positive at the Hotel Fortuna on Rua de Cantão, 300 guests and around 80 staff (including casino workers) will be transferred to quarantine hotels. The hotel has been declared a Red Zone.

Individuals in Red Code Zones are not allowed to leave Macao even if they have existing travel plans.
