The Social Welfare Bureau’s Covid-19 Support Hotline for Infected Persons will cease operation today.

The bureau noted that from 14 December to 15 January, the hotline received more than 40,000 calls, but in the wake of Macao’s current Covid-19 situation, the number has dropped significantly, from dozens to about 10.

The bureau added that enquiries on medical matters can be made to medical institutions directly, while questions about the government’s Covid-19 prevention and control measures can be discussed with the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre on 2870 0800 from 9 am to 11:59 pm daily. Residents can still leave a voice message from midnight to 9 am which will be recorded on the system and which the centre’s staff will reply to later that day.

For emotional support services, members of the public can call the 24-hour Psychological Counselling Hotline on 2826 1126, The Macau Post Daily reported.
