The Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF) will be held in the Cotai Expo Hall at the Venetian from 28 to 30 March, according to an official announcement.
Organised by the Maco Government, the three-day event will feature talks, exhibitions and activities to promote green and sustainable development and business practices.
This year’s MIECF will feature a keynote speech by the head of the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNCEP) in China, Tu Ruihe, who will discuss the developments in global environmental governance and its future.

The first two days of the conference are reserved for trade visitors and industry professionals, and will see a “Green Forum” with experts discussing topics from carbon neutrality to green finance. Exhibits will cover environmentally-friendly products and services. A “green transformation service counter” will provide consultation services on ecological issues, while other key activities include business matchmaking meetings and technical visits.
MIECF will offer free admission to the public on the third day, with various workshops and activities.
First organised in 2008, MIECF is intended to be “a professional international platform for environmental protection,” with a particular focus on facilitating sustainability in the tourism and leisure sector.
