The 2025 Sands China Macao Open Badminton, co-organised by Sands China and the Macau Badminton Association, will take place over six consecutive days from 29 July to 3 August at the Macao East Asian Games Dome.
The tournament features five events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
This year’s event is supported by Macao’s Sports Bureau, and total prize money is US$370,000 (approximately 3 million patacas), attracting a record-breaking 442 athletes from 29 countries worldwide.
Six athletes from Macao will compete: Pui Pang Fong, Leong Iok Chong, Wong Kok Weng, Ng Weng Chi, Pui Chi Wa, and Chan Hao Wai.

Other notable Chinese players include national team Olympic gold medallists Chen Yufei and Chen Qingchen and national team player Ren Xiangyu, who has won multiple Super Series titles in recent years. Hong Kong’s men’s singles player Angus Ng Ka Long returns to defend his title.
Among overseas players appearing are the Indonesian men’s doubles pair of Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, ranked 8th in the world; and Malaysian mixed doubles team Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei, who are currently ranked 4th in the world.
Tickets for the 2025 Sands China Macao Open Badminton can be purchased on Macau Ticket, Damai, Ctrip and Trip.com. Tickets are 150 patacas, except those for the semi-finals and finals, which cost 400 patacas.
