The cast of Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster biopic won Best Ensemble at the 30th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, with Oppenheimer actors Cillian Murphy (as J. Robert Oppenheimer) and Robert Downey Jr (as Lewis Strauss) also winning Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively.

The female equivalents were won by Lily Gladstone, for her leading role as Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, and by Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her take on Mary Lamb in Alexander Payne’s the Holdovers.

Members of Oppenheimer’s cast won three of the four categories they were nominated for, only missing out on best female actor. Barbie, meanwhile – the highest grossing film of 2023 – was nominated for the same number of awards, but missed out on every category at this year’s awards, which took place on Saturday, in Los Angeles.

Elizabeth Debicki won Best Female Actor in a Drama Series for portraying Princess Diana in the Crown, while Pedro Pascal won Best Male Actor in Drama Series for playing Joel in the Last of Us
