Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Tap Seac Craft Market will be held in Praça do Tap Seac for two consecutive weekends, from Friday to Sunday, on 20-22 November and 27-29 November, the bureau said in a statement on Wednesday.
The square’s Chinese name is also transliterated as “Tap Siac” (“Tower Stone”) into Portuguese.
“All are welcome to participate and enjoy the cultural and artistic atmosphere while shopping for their favourite cultural and creative products,” the statement said.
The market features 110 booths operated by cultural and creative practitioners from the mainland and Macao and will be open from 5 pm to 10 pm on Fridays, and from 3 pm to 10 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
In order to safeguard the participants and visitors’ health, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will follow the anti-epidemic guidelines of the Health Bureau (SSM) and take relevant anti-Covid-19 measures for anyone entering the market, the statement said. Everyone at the market must wear a facemask, have his or her body temperature checked before entering the venue and present their updated Health Code.
Anyone with a fever or respiratory symptoms is not allowed to enter the market, and the number of people admitted to the venue will be restricted, the statement said, adding that admissions will be suspended in case of overcrowding. The statement also called for social distancing of at least one metre.
