The “8th Latin American Cultural Festival” organised by the Macao Association for the Promotion of Exchanges between the Asia-Pacific and Latin America (MAPEAL) is being held at Macau Tower.

The annual event aims to promote Latin American culture in Macao and deepen the understanding of local residents and tourists about Latin America, according to information provided by the organiser.

This year’s activities – such as several photo exhibitions a coffee-brewing competition to be held this Saturday, a wine and spirits festival on 7 November complete with Latin music and dance, and a salsa dance workshop – are being held at Macau Tower.

In addition, a tango dance workshop will be held at the Rui Cunha Foundation Gallery on 12 November, while a string of seminars will be held online on 23, 24 and 27 November at the private Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), according to the information.

The event is supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and co-organised by the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre, Rui Cunha Foundation, local universities and colleges as well as over a dozen Latin American consulates-general.

The event at Macau Tower runs until 16 November. Admission is free.
