Restrictions on various establishments in Macao that have been put in place due to the city’s latest Covid-19 outbreak will be lifted starting tomorrow when people can start dining in a restaurant again. In addition, gyms, beauty parlours and bars, among others, can start operating again.
However, people will need to provide a negative nucleic acid test (NAT) result taken at least in the past three days upon entering the premises.
The move came after Macao’s outbreak situation that began on 18 June improved significantly in the past week.
According to Executive Order No. 139/2022, issued by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng and published in the Official Gazette today, all restrictions regarding the closure of most establishments in town will all be lifted up tomorrow.
The establishments also include cinemas, theatres, indoor amusement parks, amusement and video game rooms, cybercafés, billiards and bowling rooms, saunas and massages, health clubs and karaoke establishments, night-clubs, discotheques, dance halls and public swimming pools.
