The CreatorWeek Macao 2025 ambassador recruitment programme is open for applications from today until 12 September. Local content creators over the age of 18 are invited to submit an original 3-minute video themed “One day in Macao” for the chance to work with top producers from mainland China and beyond in a travel campaign run by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).
CreatorWeek Macao 2025 is a large-scale international influencer convention being held from 24 to 28 October. It’s co-organised by MGTO and international media production company Branded. YouTube and the global influencer, entertainment and talent acquisition company Gushcloud International are supporting partners for this year’s event, along with the city’s six concessionaires.
Submissions must introduce a 1-day travel itinerary that’s narrated in English, highlighting the city’s unique attractions, food and experiences. Applicants need to have a Macao Resident Identity Card (known by its Portuguese initials BIR) and active social media account.

Twenty applicants will be selected to produce bespoke itineraries alongside top travel influencers from outside the territory, helping them gain an in-depth understanding of Macao. It’s an opportunity for budding content creators to hone their craft and learn from professionals.
CreatorWeek Macao will see 180 major content creators from the mainland and across the world gather in Macao across five days. A free ‘Creator Festival’ is part of the event, taking place from 25 to 26 October. This will feature live music, fan meet-and-greets, and wellness workshops.
The final two days will focus on a business-oriented CreatorWeek Conference, offering insights from industry experts and networking opportunities. There will also be a ‘Creator Academy’ designed to help participants navigate the flourishing Chinese creator economy.
The line-up of this year’s performers, industry experts and content creators is yet to be announced.
Following its successful debut last year in Singapore, CreatorWeek aims to foster deep exchanges between Chinese and Western creative industries. Hosting it in Macao this year is being viewed as a chance to enhance the SAR’s image as a tourism-friendly city.
