The Macau Golf Open is making a return to the Macau Golf and Country Club from 12 to 15 October, TDM reports.
The territory’s premier golf event has not been held since 2017, when it was won by India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar.
This year’s 144-player field will compete for a prize fund of US$1 million, according to TDM.
The Macau Golf Open organisers said sponsor and gaming concessionaire SJM was “pivotal” in reviving the event and helping ensure “that one of the most popular stops on the Asian Tour will return bigger and better than ever for its 20th edition”.

Like other operators, SJM recently committed to backing several sports events as part of a huge investment in non-gaming ventures. It intends to stage tennis championships and invitational soccer matches featuring “top teams from major leagues in Asia and around the world”.
The company is also sponsoring the 2023 Macao International Dragon Boat Races, which will be held at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre in June.
