Macao’s accommodation roster is set to move up a notch with the addition of a W Hotel at Studio City in December next year.
The 557-room property, which comes under the Marriott International umbrella, will include 127 suites as well as a spa, fitness centre and indoor swimming pool.
The brand is known for being a trend-setter, with an emphasis on tech-driven service. Rather than a lobby, it brands its main entrance as a “living room” and the W Macau will also feature a Sound Suite, a state-of-the-art recording studio. Two restaurants, one international and the other specialising in Portuguese and Chinese dishes, will complete the hotel’s luxury line-up.

W Macau will open in conjunction with the second phase of Studio City, which is part of Melco Resorts.
David Sisk, Melco’s Chief Operating said, “Melco is thrilled to welcome W Hotels to Studio City. W Hotels is one of the world’s iconic luxury lifestyle brands that will elevate Studio City’s hospitality offerings to a new level.
“Together we look forward to bringing new experiences to our guests and further strengthen Macao’s proposition as a world-class leisure destination.”
