Light Up Macao 2022, which was scheduled to wrap up on New Year’s Day, has been extended until 31 January.

The extension aims to enhance the festive atmosphere, according to the Macao Government Tourism Office.

The city’s six gaming operators have also followed suit, continuing to present their shows of lights at their resorts until the end of the month, TDM reported.

Launched early last month, the immersive lighting experience is being staged in 28 locations across eight districts, which comprise the Northern District, Central District, Praia do Manduco District, Nam Van District, NAPE, Taipa, Cotai and Coloane.

The event integrates “tourism+” to bring together public art and innovative technology and presents a variety of installations, games, projection mapping shows and themed light decorations.
