Leading members of the world’s tourism industry are expected to take part in the 10th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE), which will take place from 8-10 July.

Invitations have been sent out to provide an introduction to programme highlights and information for potential exhibitors, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said.

According to the MGTO, worldwide tourism industry members have been invited to join the expo, explore business opportunities and create new partnerships across “tourism+” fields. The invitations feature an event introduction and were also sent to local trade members, and later will be sent to tourism and related businesses in mainland China and overseas for exhibitor registration.

The expo will again be held in “hybrid online and offline format”. The expo reaches its 10-year milestone in July, with the MGTO adding that new elements will continue to be offered while advancing concerted development between tourism and various industries to strengthen synergy across “tourism +”.

The event, the MGTO underlined, aims to improve Macao’s offering as a world centre of tourism and leisure.

The expo is organised by MGTO and coordinated by the Macau Travel Agency Association, as well as supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Beijing, The Macau Post Daily reported.
