Macao recorded 156,300 visitor arrivals during the eight-day National Day/Mid-Autumn Festival Golden Week holiday, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced today.

A total of 129,967 mainlanders visited Macao between 1-7 October during the National Day/Mid-Autumn Festival Golden Week holiday, a year-on-year decline of 83.6%.
Macao’s visitor arrivals on the first two days of the eight-day National Day Golden Week (1-2 October) fell by 87.2% year-on-year to 37,619.
The Macao government, in cooperation with Beijing’s municipal government, held a four-day “Beijing Macao Week” event, which ended on Tuesday, to attract the national capital’s residents to visit Macao after the COVID-19 situation in Macao has stabilised.
