Macao driver Andy Chang Wing Chung won the final Formula 4 race of the 69th Macau Grand Prix in a French Mygale.
Chang, 26, came third in Saturday’s F4 qualifying races. In the last two years Chang has placed second in the F4 Macau Grand Prix.
Gerrard Xie, 16, from Hong Kong, who came first in the Saturday qualifiers finished second driving a Mygale F4.
Macao’s Charles Leong Hon Chio, who won the 2020 and 2021 F4 races in Macao, finished in third place.
Due to the pandemic in the last three years, the FIA Formula 4, also called FIA F4, substituted for the F3 races.
The F4 is not a global championship, but rather individual nations or regions can host their own championships in compliance with a universal set of rules and specifications.
The category was created by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile as an entry-level category for young drivers, bridging the gap between Karting and Formula 3.
