The local government has determined that all those attending this year’s official reception to celebrate National Day on 1 October will be required to be tested for Covid-19 in line with Macao’s Covid-19 situation, announced on Thursday by Alvis Lo Iek Long, a clinical director of the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre.

This required Covid-19 test is particularly in the wake of the gradual restoration of the normal movement of people between Macao and the mainland.

The resumption of the issuing of Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) tour permits for all mainlanders to travel to Macao on 23 September is also taken into consideration.
