President Xi Jinping will be in Macau from Dec 18 to 20 to attend a gathering marking the 20th anniversary of Macau’s return of the Portuguese administration to China, announced Xinhua News Agency today.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be present at the inauguration ceremony of the fifth-term government of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) headed by Ho Iat Seng..
According to Xinhua President Xi will also “inspect” the Special Administrative Region.
