Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On will attend a Q&A session today in the legislature’s hemicycle which will be streamed live on YouTube for the first time, according a statement from the Government Information Bureau (GCS) yesterday.
According to the GCS statement, apart from four websites including the legislature’s own website which will stream the session live, it will be also shown on YouTube live for the first time.
The bureau also said in the statement it believes the YouTube live streaming will be useful to assist locals in obtaining more information about the government.
Customarily, lawmakers can ask Chui prepared questions on a range of hot-button issues in the hemicycle three times a year.
Today’s session is Chui’s first Q&A session in the legislature this year. The other two will take routinely place in August and November. The one in November is his policy address for the following year.
Customarily, lawmakers present their questions in writing to the chief executive at least one week before the Q&A session. (macaunews/macaupost)
