Macau needs to educate talented people and diversify its development in the current good times, to better prepare for possible difficulties in the future said Chinese deputy Prime Minister Zhang Dejiang in a meeting with Macau’s deputies to the National People’s Congress in Beijing.

Zhang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, took part Thursday in a meeting with the deputies from Macau  attending the first session of the 12th NPC meeting in Beijing.

According to the Macau Television (TDM) , deputy Lao Ngai Leong, quoted Zhang as saying that he asked Macau to successfully  implement the concept of “one-country-two-systems”.

Lao Ngai Leong also said that Zhang asked the Macau politicians to continue with their support of the Special Administrative Region government in accordance with the law, including the enforcement of the Basic Law.

According with Lao the Chinese deputy PM said Macau need to put more emphasis on economic diversification.

Zhang Dejiang will be appointed in the next days to be in charge of Macau and Hong Kong affairs in the central government.(macaunews)
