A meeting regarding an overall plan for Guangdong-Macau intensive cooperation zone is held in Macau

The meeting focused on cooperation between Macau and Guangdong, with special emphasis on the joint development of Hengqin Island and further collaboration in the Greater Bay Area.

Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr Ma Xingrui, led respective government delegation at a meeting held in Macao focused on cooperation between Macau and Guangdong, with special emphasis on the joint development of Hengqin Island and further collaboration in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) which comprises nine Guangdong cities, Macau and Hong Kong.

Customarily, both sides hold one cooperation meeting a year, one year in Macau and the other in Guangzhou. Ma headed a delegation, headed by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng, from the Guangdong provincial government. Macau’s delegation included the government’s five policy secretaries.
