A new permanent trade expo – The Pavilion of China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform and Macao Ideas exhibition – has opened in the Forum Macao Complex.
The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) said that the expo aims to enhance the development of trade, conventions and exhibitions and cultural sectors from China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs).
The Pavilion covers 1,800 square metres and features seven exhibition areas, such as the Commercial and Trade Cooperation Exhibition Area and the Achievements Display Area.
There are also over 2,000 on-site exhibits and pieces of information about the China-PSCs platform’s latest developments through various multimedia installations, while business service facilities are also available.
In related news, Macao Ideas, which was established in 2011, has moved to the Forum Macao Complex. It embraces around 1,700 Made-in-Macao, Macao Brand and Macao Design products from over 100 local enterprises. The products range from food to handicrafts, some of which are sold from smart vending machines.
IPIM plans to organise livestream selling and business matching sessions in the area. It also plans to integrate Made-in-Macao, Macao Brand and Macao Design elements and Macao’s positioning as a China-PSCs platform to promote the city’s appropriately diversified economic development.
The first livestream selling event will be held today in the Pavilion via an e-commerce platform to promote PSCs’ products.
The Pavilion also provides daily tour guide services in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Portuguese, The Macau Post Daily reported.
