Two more elderly patients died and Hong Kong could see around 65 new Covid-19 cases today, according to the South China Morning Post.
The Hong Kong paper also quoted sources that said the government planned to extend social-distancing measures for another week.
The latest victims, both men, were aged 85 and 86.
Monday marked the eighth straight day the daily count of new infections in the city has fallen below 100.
The Post has been told the government will extend existing social-distancing measures, including a ban on gatherings of more than two people, and mandatory mask-wearing in public places, until 18 August.
Fourteen types of establishments, such as bars, gyms and sports facilities, would remain closed, while the ban on dine-in services at the city’s restaurants from 6 pm until 5 am is expected to be continued.
During the day, no more than two people can dine at the same table, and restaurants can only operate at half capacity.
On Sunday, the city reported 72 infections and five deaths, and the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 4,079, with 54 related deaths.
About 40 others tested preliminary positive on Sunday.
Speaking on a radio programme, Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee revealed the government expected a target of 5 million people to take part in a massive voluntary coronavirus testing programme.
While specific details for the testing have yet to be finalised, those wishing to take part would have to register first, she said.
