The Economic Services Bureau (DSE) on Sunday reminded residents that the deadline of the second phase of the government-subsidised consumption smartcard is Thursday.
According to a DSE statement, after Thursday the remaining balance on residents’ consumption smartcard will revert to the government. The statement said that after Thursday, the smartcard can be used as a regular Macau Pass although any outstanding cash left over from the subsidy consumption will have been removed. The statement added that details will be announced by Macau Pass.
During the second phase of the scheme, residents received MOP 5,000 to spend between 1 August and 31 December. As in the first phase (MOP 3,000), residents can also only spend up to MOP 300 per day during the second phase.
