Two unvaccinated older people who caught Covid-19 – both of whom had underlying health issues – died yesterday. The first was a 74-year-old diabetic woman with a number of health issues. She suffered from multiple organ failure and despite being resuscitated, she passed away.

The second was an 83-year-old man who suffered from hypertension and chronic renal insufficiency. He developed pneumonia on 15 December and a day later, his condition deteriorated sharply. He passed away that evening. The current number of Covid-19-related fatalities in Macao is nine.

Macao recorded 43 new symptomatic Covid-19 cases yesterday. As of 15 December, the number of asymptomatic cases are no longer reported by the Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center. The number of daily symptomatic cases has remained similar over the past days.
