The Macao Health Code app will cease operation next Monday, according to a statement from the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.

The centre says that details stored on the system – such as personal information, health code reporting records and visit records – will be deleted.

Residents who need to access their Covid-19 vaccination records will be able to do so using the Macao One Account app.

However, the Health Code app will continue to display, for the time being, a hyperlink to the Health Bureau’s booking system for Covid testing and reporting.

Since the lifting of most pandemic protocols on January 8, residents of Macau have no longer been required to show a Health Code when entering public venues, Macau Post Daily reports.

Red and yellow codes also ceased operation, meaning that a green health code is always generated by a user, even if Covid symptoms are reported.

According to the latest Health Bureau figures, Macao has logged 3,515 cases since the start of the pandemic.
