The recently announced Covid-19 case has brought the total number of positive Covid-19 cases related to the taxi driver to eight. In response to this, health authorities have designated new Key Areas on the Macao peninsula and people who live and work in these areas will be required to undergo three nucleic acid tests (NAT) over the next five days, starting today.

Everyone who visited these areas for more than 30 minutes between 26-30 November is also included in this measure (free NAT booking link available here). NATs will have to be taken either today or tomorrow, then on the 2 and 3 December. Only infants and toddlers aged under three are exempt from the mandatory NATs.

If those included in the mandatory testing have undertaken NATs in mainland China on those dates, they do not need to take other tests on those specific dates, while those with a yellow health code must do their NATs according to the number of tests required by the Health Bureau.
