Only four new cases were recorded in Macao over the past 24 hours, none of which were found in the community, bringing the city’s total Covid-19 cases to 1,814 as of midnight last night.
All the new cases were found in the Red Code Zones and medical observation hotels.
As of 8 am today, a total of 22,955 people are under follow up, including 3,543 close contacts, 12,409 individuals with overlapping itineraries, 1,361 secondary contacts, 253 general contacts and 786 accompanying persons, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced.
In the past day, 254,697 individuals have been sampled in the mandatory nucleic acid testing (NAT) for those working away from home – a NAT every two days – and Macao’s current Key Groups and Key Areas, who must do a daily NAT. A total of 239,283 people have so far tested negative, according to the centre.
Those who need to undergo the NAT can make an appointment via this link.
This week, all people in Macao must take a rapid antigen test (RAT) everyday and upload the result online. People with positive results must immediately call for an ambulance by contacting 119, 120 or 2857 2222.
