Two local residents in their twenties were taken to a police station on Tuesday for questioning after sticking paper on a wall, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement on Tuesday, adding that the two are suspected to have breached the General Regulations Governing Public Places.
According to the statement, police officers were patrolling the city centre at about 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday when they saw two males sticking paper on a wall, and when searched they were found to be carrying a large number of pieces of paper.
The duo were taken to a police station for questioning, the statement said, adding that since both are suspected of illegally sticking paper on a wall in a public place, they could face criminal charges.
In addition, the statement said that the two suspects were also suspected of causing criminal damage to property.
According to the Macau Post Daily, the statement urged the public to express their demands legally.
