Macau’s casino revenue in November grew at the fastest pace in four months, according to data released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) on Friday.
Gross gaming receipts in Macau rose 22.6 percent to 23 billion patacas (US$2.875 billion) in November, said the DICJ.
November’s revenue was the second highest between January and last month, behind October’s 26.6 billion patacas.
Month-on-month, November’s revenue fell 13.5 percent.
Revenue climbed 20 percent in the 11 months to 243 billion patacas (US$ 30.375 billion).
The casino industry is being spurred by wealthy mainland Chinese returning to city after the central government’s anti-corruption drive triggered a slowdown.
According to Bloomberg revenue from high-stakes gamblers has grown more than 28 percent in the first nine months of this year, outpacing the mass-market segment of casual gamblers.
